Every plan includes federal obligations. The Company plan’s per-state price applies to each state you operate in, whether or not its state rules are in the library yet. If you are in a state we do not cover, write to us before you buy and we will sort it out.

A state your company has a worksite or an active employee in. Federal obligations are always included. On the Company plan you choose how many states to cover when you buy, and you can add one from the billing screen the day you hire there; the change is prorated.

The Firm plan is $549 a year per client company, with a minimum of three. The count follows the companies you hold: add a client mid-year and Stripe prorates the rest of the year; to remove one, write to support and the credit applies to the next invoice.
Yes. Cancel at the end of the current period and choose another; the limits that apply are always the ones on the plan you are on. Support can also move an account between plans, prorated from today.
Collaborator seats are included in each plan. A collaborator sees exactly the obligations assigned to them.
