Terms of service

Churro tracks compliance obligations that a company’s HR function is accountable for, computes when they are due from facts the company provides, and stores evidence that they were completed. It does not file anything with any agency, does not provide legal advice, and does not act as a system of record for payroll or benefits enrolment.

• An account is created by the person who signs up and is owned by them until ownership is transferred to another owner.
• Every account starts on a trial of fixed length with no payment method. When the trial ends, existing data remains readable and creating new records requires a paid plan.
• Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment provider, monthly or yearly as chosen, and renew at the end of each period until cancelled. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Prices exclude applicable taxes.

• The facts you provide about a company are yours to keep accurate; the obligations computed from them are only as right as the facts.
• You will not upload data the service is not designed to hold, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, home addresses, bank details or pay rates.
• You are responsible for the people you invite and the roles you give them.

Rules, deadlines and guidance shown in the service are provided for general informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. The rules library is versioned, cited and updated as law changes, and every rule shows its review status where you read it, but law changes faster than any library and applies to facts we may not have. You remain responsible for your compliance; consult qualified counsel about your specific circumstances.

The service is provided as it stands, without a committed level of availability during the build phase. Features may change; the rules library changes as law does, and companies affected by a change are told.

Your data is handled as the privacy policy describes. On termination of an account, data is deleted after a thirty-day grace period during which it can be exported; the audit trail and evidence pack can be exported at any time before then.
